I encountered the age old problem of half the strand not working.
Led light strand not working.
Sixty bulb led christmas lights are built from two half strings of 30 bulbs each.
Then carefully wrap the lights in their original or similar containers making sure the bulbs don t bang together.
Trim back any overgrowth or simply move the light so its panel receives direct sunlight much of the day.
This is how i fixed many led string lights.
A loose bulb broken socket or frayed wire is sometimes all it takes for the strand to malfunction.
Simply plug in the light strand and remove a bulb that s in or near the dark section.
This year however a bunch of the bulbs did not light up right in the middle of them all as my wife quickly informed me.
If your led light source does not work properly you can remove it from the lamp and try it out in another lamp with the same socket.
Inspecting it closer i found it was half a string precisely.
Typically if your led lights simply don t work it is not because the products are defective but due to a basic wiring mistake or overlook.
In the best case this lamp should be connected to another circuit.
If the light source works properly here you have already limited the error to the original place of use and can further investigate there.
Led christmas lights.
If one or more of the bulbs has dimmed or gone out check the manufacturer s documentation for the type of circuit that was used to put the led light strip itself together.
This year i got an early start on my lightscape so i had time to troubleguess the offending strand.
Wiring mistakes are the most common of all led lighting issues.
Good evening to all and may all your lights work.
The non working led will obviously be in the string half that is not working.
I discovered it before i put it up on the eaves.
It s a tedious task but an assured way to find the problem and bring light life back to the non working string o.
Next insert the tool into the bulb s socket and squeeze the trigger to activate a piezo circuit.
I inspected the wire for.
There should be voltage detected at the live wire going into the first light.
With the lights plugged in use the voltage detector to check the live voltage wire between each light starting at the end that plugs into the wall outlet.
